I picked the girls up from school today. When I arrived at Elizabeth's school, her teacher, Miss Jenn, handed me a form and explained it to me. It turns out that the kids were given a PPVT-III (Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test - 3rd Edition) test. The summary of the test is that my Elizabeth, at the age of 4 years 2 months, has the vocabulary age equivalent of 6 years 2 months, in the 95th percentile! :wooHoo:

Who's yours?

Really not trying to compete or anything, but my five year old was tested with something like that at three, and he scored with a vocabulary of seven years and some odd months. I was so stinking proud when his Head Start teacher told me that, and she was just so astounded. I understand exactly how proud you are, Amalthea. Just nurture that, and she will float through school.
