Obamacare passes the House

the Insurgent

Obama and Pelosi bribed, cajoled, threatened and bullied the House into passing Obamacare and it did...220-215. In otherwords; the Dem Liberals won the vote by just thee votes! If just three more Representatives had voted against socialized medicine Obamacare would have lost! I can't help, but wonder...could those three votes have been swayed if more people had taken action; had written, emailed or called their Representative and objected to this bill? I know most people feel overwhelmed by life and all the obligations they have, but seriously... if those who didn't communicate with their Representatives had taken just ten minutes from MySpace, Facebook or Youtube and gone to Congress.org to email their elected officials, just 10 minutes, it would have almost certainly helped. Public protests DID make a difference; several politicians did pay attention to those letters, emails and calls they did get. They DID pay attention to those angry voters who attended the Town Hall meetings and/or the TEA party rallies. If these people hadn't made a difference then why did Obamacare win by just 3 votes after Obama and Pelosi put all of the might and power in their offices to get votes for this bill? If it had not been for the letters, email, calls and public protests that did occur, given how hard Obama and Pelosi pushed this garbage, it would have certainly won by more then three votes.

We ask why our country is in the condition it is today ignoring the precept of "All that is necessary for evil to triumph if that good men do nothing." We sit and grumble and complain amongst ourselves, but when it comes time to take action, even something as simple as an email, we do nothing.

Three votes. Three, measely votes. It's just sad beyond belief.

Who's yours?

My reps in Texas were opposed to it anyway, as far as I know. If they changed their vote at the last minute, they'll certainly lose my vote, but I haven't had time to check and see how they voted for sure.
