I have a few beautiful pieces I've made, including a Nativity Scene entirely made of PCN (Joseph alone is about 5" tall). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to buckle down and work on one in years. I also learned how to knit, and I made a scarf. Unfortunately, the person who taught me how to knit moved before she told me how to STOP, so the thing is incredibly long!!! I just kept knitting and knitting...I finally got a book and finished it.

I even taught Snowy, and will probably teach the girls, since it is so easy. However, you have to be careful about how you talk about that particular craft: Snowy and I were visiting his dad, Bud, once, and I had brought a rug with me. When Bud saw it, he asked me, "How long have you been hooking?" He IMMEDIATELY took that comment back!

Between Snowy and a nurse, he accepted Jesus. I have a ton of great memories of Bud; he and I were TV buddies while Snowy worked the late shift, and we also had music in common and often exchanged albums.

I am an accomplished quilter, but I don't have much time to do it any more. :( I also have done a lot of sewing in the past, but not so much lately. I think I'm going to try and whip out a couple of easy skirts for my mom this week, though.

The last thing I sewed was a pair of shorts in my 8th grade Home Ec class...which ultimately earned me a tetanus shot when I sewed over one of my fingers.

I can hem (although I hate it), I can mend a seam, and Snowy says that, when I sew on a button, thousands of years from now explorers will come across a teeny scrap of material with my button still firmly attached. Any heavy-duty sewing...that's what Auntie Ann is for!

Maybe, I should try to do 15 minutes a day like financial experts say.
