Resident Violin Playing Plumber

When hubby is safely back home, I will enlist his help to get my recording started. :)
I get to start lessons again next week!!! I am so psyched!

I honestly do try to use it as a method for witnessing, and also encouraging my students to play from their hearts, and not just from notes on a page. many of my students have been Christians, and I always challenge them to memorize hymns or other Christian pieces, so they are more enabled to worship as they play, from their hearts. The notes don't become a hindrance then, they become the enabler. :D In a good way: Enabling isn't always the bad thing our society often defines it to be.

I think you should show you love in your life everyday. I always try to be as good a person I can, and I hope people notice something different in me (which they do). I will also answer any questions given to me to the best of my ability. I do pray for my friends and, when appropriate, tell them. Lastly, I will tell them about Jesus. I say how great Church can be, and how He saved me. I'm not in your face, but I do share what I know and love.

I posted this on another thread, but I think it fits here too:

I said...

We can be set apart from the rest of society. I don't mean becoming a monk, but not acting in the way others do. For example, it is fine to go to the pub, but once your friend suggests a lap-dancing club, you say no. You can still enjoy things in this world, but people will notice that you are different. This can be a good way to bring people to Jesus. They don't want Christians who are in your face shouting the Bible at them, they want ordinary people who they can see doing good things.
